This world famous American-based Gentlemen's club needed professional advice from acoustic experts with particular experience of the entertainment industry and nightclubs in the West End of London, as they intended to open their first London club. Shaun Murkett Acoustic Consultants ltd were commissioned for their first major venture in the UK at Tottenham Court Road, as we were recommended by Camden Council. We undertook feasibility noise surveys, issued noise reports and liaised with the local authority. We assisted the legal team in securing the Premises Licence, with attendance as Expert Witness at the licence hearings. The club was refurbished to our design specifications, which included sound limiters. The club was an immediate and continuing success.

 

We were again commissioned to undertake possibly the most comprehensive set of environmental noise surveys ever made on a West End nightclub, for their licence renewal. Our noise reports had many recommendations, all pro-actively implemented by the club management, and we again provided Expert Evidence to the legal team, and attended the Hearing. The licence was successfully renewed, and the company has since expanded and grown financially, with more venues around UK and Europe. We continue to professionally advise on all noise issues.
